Shall We Play a Game?

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Not everyone realizes the amazing potential of games. Those who play know that games challenge us, push the boundaries of possibility, and feed our imaginations. They often give players a safe place to express themselves, to take on difficult tasks, connect with others, and develop important skills through practice. How might we harness this incredible experience in the classroom? In this session, explore Game-Based Learning and Gamification in education. Learn how research has shown that the concepts of “fiero” and “flow” can foster engagement with both teachers and students. In the classroom, transform curriculum through game-based experiences using both technology and other game based strategies.
